on Fits: Three Sneakers That Will Go with Everything in Your Closet

I think 2019 marked the end of ugly, chunky sneakers. Balenciaga+Yeezy season was cancelled the second frat boys started wearing them. Hypebeast is dead and I bear no tears at its funeral. Those trends were always bullshit anyways. You don’t need to spend more than $90 for your Spring sneaker. One that you can wear a few times a week while rotating outfits. There has officially never been a better time to buy—or rationalize buying—some or all of the below (VERY affordable) sneakers and rotating them for the subsequent 6 months.

THE GUM SOLE

I don’t know a whole lot about Killshots except that I’ve worn the pair with a navy blue Swoosh for the past 6 months and they have been incredibly durable. So I went ahead and bought a pair in black (pictured) and maroon.

Nike Killshot: $90

THE KURT

This has been my go-to for the past 2 years. Available in white, black, and gray for the time being. Sometimes they run in brown, white with a gum sole, and other colors. You know how a shoe is totally fucking awesome? You get random compliments for them throughout an entire day. I will stop wearing these when the compliments stop pouring in.

New Republic Kurt: $66
