on the Blank Page: My Writing Process, Basically

We’ve been back on the blog for a few weeks now. While I do enjoy taking every August off from posting on here, you bet your ass I’m still writing, thinking of ideas, and jotting notes in my Notes app. Granted, these notes are usually incoherent and random, but some of them do turn into story ideas. Those ideas marinate in my brain and develop over time until some miraculously result into the bullshit you read on this very website, the one you’re on now. It’s really spectacular when you think about it.

The carcasses of failed ideas live in my Notes app. Maybe I’ll revisit them one day and try to make sense of that clusterfuck of nonsense. Here, my favorite example:
